Aromas of chocolate, blackberries, graham crackers with a touch of cinnamon. The palate is greeted by gobs and gobs of dark, jammy fruit unfolding in waves of chocolate, spice, toasty oak and vanilla. The long lingering finish is soft and round but don't let this gargantuan wine fool you, it has plenty of dry tannins to satisfy the big red wine drinker and collector in you. Question? 2	Gelfand Vineyards 2006 Petite Sirah View Label Gelfand Vineyards (Paso Robles, CA) -- (Winery Info & All Wines) A descendant from the Rhone Valley in France, this grape is now grown predominantly in California. The word "petite" in its name is very much a misnomer, as these wines are anything but small. They tend to be big, bold, muscular wines. Ours is even bigger! It is inky dark and very rich, and has quickly become our signature grape. Goes well with everything, but is definitely not a breakfast drink. Question?
